OK guys this might seem like a dumb question but I have been looking at the Hha optimizer light ultra and have a few questions. First and foremost having a hard time understanding how this sight is that accurate. Love the single pin sight picture but how do you keep an anchor point when you are constantly adjusting it to looks through the peep sight and center the housing? Second how does the Mathews quiver set up with this? Can you still get to the wheel easily? I have the Chill X so anyone with first hand knowledge of this pair would be great!
If you take the time to set it up, it is that accurate. assuming you are accurate. took some time but i'm spot on to the yard out to 80. I don't shoot a kisser, knuckle behind my jaw, line the peep up with the ring on the sight, then i open my other eye. Anchor point becomes muscle memory if you shoot often enough. For me the open sight picture of the single pin really helps me stay focused. having multiple pins and black bars covering half my target is way to distracting for my simple mind. I use the Mathews quiver with the extended lug on my Creed, but I have to reach around my arrows to adjust. 90% of the time i take my quiver off and hang it on the tree anyway. The adjustable brightness of the pin is great in low light conditions, and while closed up it shrinks the visible pin diameter which really helps on those super long target shots.
I have a HHA on a Chill R and it is spot on out to 60yd.(as far as i have shot it) The quiver i am no help as i never mount the quiver to my bow. The only down side is that you must add the step to set the yards before you draw and i practice that. For some folks and rigs you could set the pin at 25 and be good out to 30 or so however i am set in the stand at 20 and adjust if needed for the deer.
The adjusting I am not too worried about my bow will be fine if I set it on 30 and I could shoot 0-35 no problem I was just curious if everyone is centering the sight housing in the peep and are you having any problems keeping your anchor point. It seems to me that if you bring the bow hand up to center the housing the angle of the string will change at the anchor point
I've owned the HHA Ultra Light and now the Kingpin. As long as you have a consistent anchor point you will be very accurate. That is assuming you sight it in correctly with the sight tape. I have a standard Mathews quiver and didn't use any adapters or anything. I just had to be careful removing the quiver as there wasn't alot of clearance between my arrows and the elevation wheel. I no longer have that problem with the Kingpin as it is a different design.
How is the king pin I would think that the wheel being forward it would be uncomfortable to reach and adjust in the moment
The king pin is the best sight on the market in my opinion, although it is a bit pricey you get what you pay for.. Its scary accurate!!
The anchor point has not been an issue I use a kisser my nose on the string and the peep my trigger hand lands in the same spot on my jaw but is no longer a main point. This system has improved my groups and keeps my head position relative to the string, site placement or angel of the shot is less likely to change the point of impact
Target bows have single pin adjustable sights and there's not an issue with anchor point with them. You're overthinking it a little. You purchased an excellent sight system and will really like it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why would ur anchor point be any different from a single pin sight to a 5 pin sight it shouldn't is the answer Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
I have a king pin on a chill x and I dont have a problem with it. I just anchor to the same spot the same time and yes once i get to the farther yardages 80 and out my housing is no longer centered in my peep but that hasnt caused me any trouble due to haveing a consistent anchor point. One thing you can do to help is once you get the sight all sighted in just adjust your peep so that it is centered with your sight at 40 yards allowing your sight to be closer to center at a bigger variety of yardages. This allows me to have the full housing in my peep at my yardages id feel comfortable hunting at.
I just ordered a LH HHA Optimizer lite and can't wait to get it. The sight I am replacing is the Trophy Ridge React Pro. Too many pins to keep track of in the moment of tension. I'm ready for a single pin.
I love my HHA love the site window with just 1 pin. I set my pin at 25 yards and never put the tape on and have never moved the pin. Little practice and you can shoot out to 45-50 yards without moving the pin at all.
When using my HHA with a quiver I went with the G5 quiver bracket on my Heli-m; keeps it out of the way of the HHA & balances the bow better for me.
I tried both the Tightspot quiver adapter and the Treelimb riser mount with my HHA. I went with the Treelimb. I use Tightspot quivers and never take my quiver off so it was important to me to find a mount I liked. If someone takes their quiver off, they could probably just use the spacers HHA supplies. I set my sight up using the center mounting holes all the way around and my peep with the sight set at 30 yards. My anchor point is constant and shooting out to 70 yards have no issues keeping my sight housing centered with the peep.
I just bought the HHA Opt. Lite this year. It is very accurate. The site doesn't really move that much, so anchor is not affected....at least not for me. I have it on a Mathews Helium. The Mathews quiver got in the way of the dial for me. I didnt give myself any time to get use to the quiver/site combination because I had another quiver that felt more user friendly with the site Highly recommend the .010 pin. I also like the 2" inch housing. My favorite thing about the sight is that the sight picture is so open and the same regardless of yardage. Hope this helps.
