Always been indecisive about which one to get. Ive been using a 3 pin setup for a while now but want the versatility of a single pins for both 3D and hunting. My uncle swears by HHA, I know Todd and Justin and the whole BHOD crew use them. I have heard a lot of good things about the Spott Hogg brand of bow sights as well. People like Cameron Hanes swear by them, and if you haven't seen him shoot his compound he is on another planet in terms of accuracy. Any users or fans of either brand? Looking for opinions/reviews from the community that aren't on the sites that you buy them from lol.

I don't shoot either one, but the guys who run the shop I go to shoot Spott Hogg. When I asked about why they don't shoot HHA (because I've seen BHOD) they just kinda brushed it off.

I've had both, I switched to a Hogg Father at the time because HHA didn't have a dovetail sight at the time and I found a good deal. The Spott Hogg is an amazing sight, but it is heavy, be warned, it on that same side it is builtike a tank. I have not been nice to it and it's holding up.

I've also had 3 different HHA sights and they've all been great, and hands down their customer service is second to none. You can't go wrong either way these days honestly

I prefer HHA. Both are amazing sights, don't get me wrong. But the weight of the Spott Hogg is crazy. I also prefer having my sight housing a little closer to my peep sight, that way my sight doesn't end up in the mud everytime I set it down, or stalk. I think its going to come down to personal preferences. I've dragged mine through the ringer and never had any issues. Snow, rain, wind, mud...you name it.

Axcel is a very good single pin also. I tried the Accu Touch & got rid of my HHA. I really like the way it adjust. Has clicks that you can feel for the regular 20,30,40 & so on. You’d have to look at the tape for your in between yardage’s. So you don’t have to be looking at the actual sight for adjustment. Then the tape is in the inside of the bow & it’s real easy to see with out moving the bow to make adjustments.

Looking at single pin sights I think you would be doing yourself an Injustice if you don't look at Black gold. Built like a tank and not nearly as heavy as the spot Hoggs but the Hha has great pins so it is just going to come down to what you like all of them are great sights

Black gold pure driven for me. Built well and lighter. Also has the automatic light adjusting pin

I'm kicking around some of the same choices myself. I like the axcel but I heard that the pins weren't very bright. I've had an old HHA and love the mechanical rheostat. I saw somewhere where a guy put an HHA pin and housing into an axcel site and this might be the way I go.

HHA for single pin for me. I just went back to 5 pin Hunter Hogg It after getting astigmatism half way figured out.
