Sorry if this has been asked before, but I looked around and didn't find anything. For the Optimizer it appears you can only use the tapes that read 20, 30, 40 etc. Can you use the tapes for say, the King Pin or Ultra that give you "to the yard" readings and you would just cut off the tape where it would not fit? I'm thinking it could work? Anyone else done this?
If you are talking about the Optimizer light then I am not sure. The movement is slightly different and there might be a variance between points. The Optimizer Ultra tapes are the same as the King Pin from what I can tell. If you know someone that has the tapes then it would definitely be worth trying.
Ah, I wasn't thinking about the movement of the dial vs. the swing arm. Good point. It may not work then.
