    While running yesterday, I finally listened to some music and I cannot believe the difference it made in how fast and long I could sustain a good run...

    Here is where I need your help .... I need a big list of songs and approximate speed of each song ...for example:

    Metallica - Enter Sandman = 4mph
    One = 3.2mph/6.0mph

    You get where I am going with this? ... Help me create a music list to run to...rwady? Go! :D

    I run a lot. I'm 14 and my dad doesn't like us to listen to anything but classical. He would never let us listen to something while we run. But good luck!

    I mostly prefer upbeat music when I run, but have been known to throw on a podcast of a radio talk show to help occupy my mind.

    With that said what kind of music are you looking for there PT?

    I don't listen to music while I run, so I can't help you. I'll listen to Boy with a Coin sometimes before to help get a rhythm though.

    You have a smartphone, right? Build a custom playlist/station and stream it via Pandora. I use Pandora and Slacker radio to stream set to hard rock/strength training. Everything from Poison to Awolnation (and everything in between). Get an App to track your run as well. Really motivating. Most apps will give you pace, mileage, and time updates.
