Changing the subject a touch... Whats the word about Hokes second season? It isn't terrible, but not near the success of last year... You still pleased with Hoke, whats the feeling?
Why can't Hoke recruit the skill positions? He is zero for everyone on elite WR's. He got a solid back in Smith, but not elite. What's going on up there?
Well we were so low on defense he made a choice to rebuild the defense first. We have some great athletes on d again. Rrod recruited a bunch if slot ninjas for WR. We have some good talent coming up, but they are just young. Our best running back is our QB.
Did you all hear what happened in Ann Arbor today?! Buddy went up for the game today and when they got there they stopped at a gas station but they accidentally left their tickets sittin in the dash. Got back out and there window was smashed out. Someone broke in and left 4 extra tickets on the dash
I thought they would go 8-4 this year. Next year about the same, but I expect bigger things in 2014 with the group of young guys they have now. I think they are moving in the right direction. They definitely over achieved last year. I heard Tress was going to be in town...
I was in full flip out mode, and then the miracle catch happened. We got lucky, but the spot on the fourth down play was terrible.

The D has actually been pretty good the past 3 weeks. As for why it was so bad.... He was calling a tentative D, no attacking. He tried to call the bend but don't break defense that Heacock ran for years, but obviously without the same results. Meyer forced him to start calling a more aggressive defense after the Indiana debacle, not near as much zone coverage and now a lot of man press coverage and the D has been pretty strong ever since. Fickell wanted to call what he wanted rather than what the personnel is built for. tOSU has two terrific cover corners and Fickell had them playing 10 yards off the line. Meyer said no more of this ****... Things have been much better since. As for him being back, I would venture a guess and say he will be back but would not be surprised to see him move on.
