Saw 3 this evening, all at 10 yards. No bucks.

Kyle, my mocks haven't been touched since the snow fell.

Funny thing is, he was hunting the "back 40" where I usually hunt on, or around...his first time out he says "Kyle there is a HUGE scrape" 15 yards from one of your stands (he didn't know I made the mock)

I laughed and said, I made that pops [not thinking of the snow covering it up] he said it's def no mock anymore I was surprised to hear they have been pounding it, as I haven't touched it up since early November!!

    Good luck Steve-O

We had other things to do today so I didn't get out. Have to work tomorrow... maybe working Wednesday also... but hope to be hitting it hard Thursday. I told the boss I would be coming down with something even if he wanted me to work Thursday. :)

Steve... got your text. The wind was fairly brutal here today so wasn't too bummed out the wife had other plans for me. I did manage to score on a new hunting jacket for my trouble. LOL. I've got to be a good boy with the wife as I have planned a trip to cabelas... eeeeerrrrrr go Xmas shopping for her !!! ;) :)

Don't freeze to death over there !! Good luck hunting !!

Kyle... good luck also. Tyler is done with college on Thursday. Going to be fun hunting as we can cover two areas once he is home. We are going to get the trail cam going also to see what's floating around the main farm I work at.

You should go to UND or NDSU and then you can double dip and hunt ND. You would only have to pay Resident fees. Well that is if Minnesota does the same for ND kids that go there.

I've got to double check but I think my dad went to St Cloud for college back in his day.

Heck back in his day...he said they still ran square wagon wheels in Minnesota. :P :)

We had a darn SE wind this morning. That is the only direction I don't have a morning spot to hunt so I sat it out rather then wreck any of my spots.

Made it out tonight. Stalked within 60 yards of a 125ish 3.5 year old before running out of cover. Wouldn't have shot him anyways but was fun to do. Saw a doe and a fawn. Didn't have a lot of hope for this spot but was curious to scout it so we didn't overlook it . It can be a heck of a hot spot in late winter... but not this winter. The buck was running old trails and scent checking sloughs. Wished I would have had the doe decoy with me. I bet he would have suckered right in.

I had a couple small projects to do for the boss today. Told the wife I should throw the 243 in the truck for yotes but didn't. Got 3 miles from the house and had one run out of a slough 50 yards off the road. Drove a little farther and decided to go back home to get the 243. I had another one run across the road in front of me on the way back home.

Got the 243 and didn't see a coyote all the way out to the farm and back !! LOL

The spot I am going to hunt in the morning is loaded with coyotes. Got a couple arrows on the quiver dedicated just for them. :) I might just do an all day sit if the wind doesn't switch tomorrow. The coyotes run most of the day here if you get off the beaten path.
