benelli makes a fine shotgun... for an auto though I'd lean toward a beretta or a remington... better more proven designs... for pumps though the benelli is top shelf...

$1379-1479 MSRP. About inline with the rest of the Benelli semi-autos.

I've never shot a Nova, but a friend of mine swears by his. I'm kinda old school, I like my guns to look like a gun. Wood stocks, blued metal, etc. I'd love to have a montifeltro, but momma keeps vetoing that purchase LOL.

WOW, thats pricey! I'll stick to the old 1964 Remington 1100, it gets the job done just fine!

bang for the buck the Nova is a TOUGH gun to beat... only non-870 pump i'd consider... a couple friends have 'um, they shoot VERY nice...

but ya BHF, when it comes to autos the Rem1100 is one horny basterd for the money...

That will probably be my next turkey gun. D*ck's is running a special on them right now. Two barrels, red dot scope, choke(s), $350 after rebates. I have a $25 gift card for there, too. My fiance would kill me, though. We're in shopping mode for house things now.

Here is mine. I bought it from Bass Pro. I was going to post the image in the forum but it was huge so there is a link to it.

Very nice. The one at D*cks doesn't have the hand grip, but that's a VERY nice gun you have there.

As much as I am into guns...shotguns just really don't excite me. I have an adequate slugger (I live in a shotgun only zone) and a decent turkey gun. I would like to upgrade both eventually, but I just don't get into shotties like I do other guns. Handguns are my thing.

I was just fixing to say the exact opposite, lol. I don't think the Inertia system can be matched by any gas operated semi with ease of cleaning, simplicity, reliability. Pumps seem about the same to me, and The Nova, 870, and 835 are ALL great guns.

I bought a Benelli SBE II several summers ago, and I seriously don't see me ever needing another shotgun, ever, at 18 years old.

Different strokes for different folks. I can say, once you get used to shouldering a Benelli, shooting another gun feels like a big clump of metal, I LOVE the contours of the gun and how it handles....I'd have to hold the new one to know about it though.

I've got too many shotguns the way it is. Remington 11-87 and 870, 2 Mossberg 835s, Charles Daly over/under, 2 Benelli Novas and a Benelli SBE.

The only one I would ever buy again is the Benelli SBE....bar none. I have beat the living sheet out of this thing and it has never jammed. Hell, I have even used the thing as a push pole and never worried about anything happening to it.

If I were in the hunt for a new shotgun, it would definately be the Benelli Vinci.

I think they will have a hard time with that gun. First of all, it the ugliest shotgun I've ever seen. Now that wouldn't prevent me from buying it, but for the pricetag it would have to be the best all around shotgun I could get my hands on. With the lack of a 3.5" chamber, I can't use it in the situations where I would want a ugly workhorse type of a gun......turkeys/predators/waterfowl/etc.

I currently have 3 shotguns. I have the 870 SPS with the Shurshot stock as my go to turkey gun. It's wearing a Mueller 2-7x33 scope with the illuminated circle dot reticle, and an Indian Creek choke. It's doing roughly 200 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards with 2.25oz Hevi #6's, and kicks like a PO'd mule. I don't even like shooting it, but it absolutely clobbers turkeys and predators at ridiculous ranges, I have no doubt it will drop a turkey every time at 60.

I also have a Mossberg 500 Turkey Special with a ported barrel that is my backup gun for turkeys/predators, I mostly use it to loan to buddies without a specific turkey setup.

I also have an Ithaca model 37 Featherweight for upland game/rabbits. It was my grandfathers and is in great shape. Both my grandfather and father killed their first deer with it (western NY shotgun zone), and it holds a special place in my heart.

Below is a pic of my 870 next to the 25lb bird I killed on the opener last year.

I have an obsession with shotguns.

If the cash flow permitted I would own a whole lot more.

I have wanted a Benelli for waterfowl for some time. Maybe by next fall.

My favorite is by far my deer set up though. The HR Ultra Slug, it is AMAZING.

I think that the Vinci looks good, but I am disappointed that it is not a 3 1/2 inch gun. I have the Benelli super black eagle II and it is the best shotgun that I have owned. I was planning on buying the new Vinci, but I don't like it only being 3 inch. Can't wait to shoot it.
