So I picked up a compound bow last christmas and have been practicing my shot for about 8 months now and I feel confident enough to go on a hunt soon. Ive done a little research and learned that private late is the way to go out here in california.
So ill be booking a hunt soon as a birthday present to myself.

I got a really good deal on a 2011 Pse axe 7. It has a decent sight on it and I have a couple broadheads. Ive been pondering buying the new pse dna evo and selling my current bow to my buddy for 550. Im also considering the nikon archer bow hunt range finder.

I was wondering if you guys could help refer me towards a good backpack quiver or good bow hunting necessities.thank you in advance. My birthday is this coming monday and I wanted to treat myself to all kinds of hunting gear. So shoot away with reccomendations.

First off welcome to the site, an happy up coming birthday! I like blacks creek packs, badlands makes a good pack as well. As far as a quiver I just bought the Mathews removable T3 quiver an I love it. With you being a pse guy not sure that could work lol. Lots of good quivers out there!

Thank you very much switchbackxt. Ill look into those products uou mentioned. Should I go with a back quiver or a belt one? Should I invest in a good range finder? And thanks so much for the quick response. Im very excited to bring home some bacon someday. :)

    Welcome to the site!

I would suggest a quiver that connects to your bow. Like this. http://www.amazon.com/PSE-Infinity-...TF8&qid=1376574807&sr=1-1&keywords=pse+quiver Or a much more expensive one like this. Amazon.com: PSE Dual-X Quiver 5-Arrow, Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity: Sports & Outdoors

I would also get a range finder if I were you. For the bow: I'd keep you current bow for this hunting season. Your used to it and if you got a different one it would be harder to get used to it quickly.

Welcome, I use a badladlands backpack and it also is a bow carrier for those long trips its great. I would also reccomend a quiver that attaches to your bow.
