how's everyone doing? just found out about here by Jfergus today. 6 wks till season starts here. countdown is beginning. what have u done so for to prep for this yr's season? I've been shooting at dusk at a 3d deer at least 2-3x's/wk. gonna have 2 start washing stuff, checking out all the gear. good news, I just got done scouting a new piece of property I aquired for hunting this past winter. 10 acres, but deer & turkey move thru right on the clock. I'm also the only one hunting it. As the owner & I were walking the horse trail a turkey flew out ahead of us. She says they come thru everyday at 5:15. Can't wait to see what comes thru. She said that last yr. there was a 10ptr bedding down in the back portion. hopefully I'll be of use on this yrs. buck contest team.

I'm trying to decide if I will hunt lower Wisconsin this year. MECHDOC keeps tempting me to go up and hunt with him.

let me know if you guys wanna come up & hunt here. there's enough public land around by me. if u have a climber there's plenty of trees. don't know if I'll put on a buck, but there are deer here. kinda would be cool to gtg w/ferg,mech doc, & U for a hunt. we're pretty cheap in regards to non-resident licenses compared to ohter states.

Yeah it isn't bad. MECHDOC also has a spot on Private we can hunt and Peakrut has told me I should learn to hunt like a man and hit some public land in Wisconsin. I haven't hunter Wisconsin for 3-4 years and that was way up north on Public. I think I need to get my public hunting skills back:cool:
