Wow! That's an awesome buck.. good luck chasing him this season. Having a shooter buck return from the previous season is a great feeling!
he was the last deer I was expecting to return but by far the one I wanted another chance at. Last night the wind was perfect, storm rolled through and temps dropped. Went out and watched the area from a distance and after over a year we where finally able to lay our eyes on him. He was bedded in the middle of a winter wheat field with a smaller buck. This is a picture taken through the nocks, couldnt get the phone lined up right on the spotting scope.
Finally being able to lay our eyes on that deer was by far the best feeling. Only problem now is im even more anxious for season to start.
Figured with the heat if summer, a point between hay, winter wheat, corn, and beans it could be a great spot to catch pictures
And to think I had to kill this deer to even stand a chance against your Kansas deer. But thats why it is called hunting, never know what can happen. Package came in the mail over the weekend.
I was Putting him at 4.5 this year, havent heard/ seen anything of him getting shot. He's smart and very nocturnal so have a good feeling he made it through the season. Had pictures up until 11/7 then nothing which has been typical for him.
