It does not surprise me. Urban Myer covered up some failed drug tests while he was at Florida. It would explain alot of his actions. I just hope that is not the defense he's pursuing: I was high and did'nt know what I was doing. Just another reason to hate the Patriots. He went to Belichik and basiclly told him some gang members were after him. Belichik's answer "Find a safehouse." WTF, Bill?!! Really?!!!

Yeah I hope not either, Im a patriots fan but it could of been handled better. If a player comes to you and says theyre scared for there life I think id have to do something, try to get him help or point him in the right direction or something.

How much is Bill to blame if Hernandez did in fact reach out to him for help/advice?

thats a good question, its hard to put blame on someone for someone elses actions but I feel like he could of done more. If infact he reached out to him....

None, Hernandez is a grown man. Grown men take care of themselves. Bill is his employer, my employer would probably tell me the same thing. Lets not forget that he is now suspected in the drive by shooting from a couple years ago too. Hernandez is a bad person, who was lucky enough to be able to play pro football. If he hadn't had that skill, he'd be either dead or in prison already.

I think thats how the media spun it. At the end of the day Bill was his boss and the patriots were his employer. He was just a troubled young man, I think I read his attitude towards life changed when he was 13 and his father died..

His mother cheated on his father with a drug dealer that she eventually married after his father died. So yeah, that probably sucked, but that still doesn't excuse a man from his actions. The truth is, he knows right from wrong just like you and I do, he just thinks he's above it.

Here he goes again, looking to get on Bill's case, you just love to hate them! Hernandez had plenty of second chances. No one to blame but himself

    ^^This!

There are very few things in this world that disgust me more than the lack of personal responsibility and the excuses. I'm so sick of gangbangers, drug dealers, and low life thugs blaming their actions on "daddy wasn't around" or "mommy didn't love me". What it comes down to, is that these losers have no concern for anyone but themselves, and the easy way is best. The ends justify the means, right up until they get caught, then the sob story starts.

Really funny wanting to put ANY blame on Bill lmao. His job is to put the best football team together to win a championship. He is not a babysitter. It isn't pop warner football. They are worried about x's and O's. Sure maybe a little guidance here and there. But to own any responsibilty for not doing "more"? Give me a break. The dude is a thug.

Not that I absolve Hernandez of being a low-life murderer, but pro football teams have systems and personnel in place specifically to help troubled players. Whether it be car rides home when you're drunk to assistance with finances, emotional issues and even legal counsel. If it's true that at some point he did reach out to the system for help and they basically told him "tough nuts" well then that system, and those people, failed.

Again, I'm not saying it's anyone's fault that Hernandez pulled the trigger. He alone is responsible for his actions and he should pay the consequences.
