As I've mentioned previously, I'm in the consumer electronics industry. Yesterday, I walked into one of my distributors and I see these in the corner. It's the JVC Adixxion camera. Model is GC-XA2. They retail for $299. My cost on them is $219.

I figured I'd offer them up at my cost + shipping if anyone is interested in a hunting camera but can't justify the $399 for a GoPro. I messed around with them, they're pretty nice. I took a pic of some of the attachments as well. The "chest harness" attachment is $44. I didn't get the pricing of the other attachments, but I'd doubt they're more than $10-$15.

These things have WIFI on them so you can control them remotely from your phone. (That doesn't mean you'll be able to control it in the woods)

I can take Paypal or any credit card if anyone is interested.

Not trying to make any money on them, but if I can help somebody save a buck or two, I'm happy to do it.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Here's a link to the JVC site as well.

I have been eying this camera to replace my Gopro Hero 960. Wish it has a remote to go with it though.

I think I may have the solution....I just opened up my personal Hotspot on my phone, walked my phone into my backyard about 20-25 yds away set it on my car hood, and I'm currently using that "network" to respond to this post.

If we can do that, we can turn the Hotspot on in the woods "link" the camera to our phones (provided you have a droid or iPhone) and Voila!! You have control of the camera with the app on your phone. That would work, and you see what the camera is looking at on the screen of your phone.

I want to verify that this will work well. I'll go buy one tomorrow and test it out. I'll take a video of how well it works.

Ohhh!!..I've got it now...The Camera will act as an Access Point. So essentially it'll create it's own network that the phone can join, not the other way around...That's friggin' awesome. That means that it'll output WIFI for a considerable distance. That's nice.

You've gotta forgive me on this..I'm more of a home AV guy...not a contraption kind of guy. Here's the link from their site.

You can also link multiple cameras to one phone...a person could actually strategically locate these things in the woods and possibly view the deer coming toward him "real time".
