Here's some ALASKAN sheds!!

I thought you guys might enjoy a few pics of some sheds that my dad and I have found over the last few years out hunting. Including a bull moose that we shot... The oar in the pic is holding the skull together... thats what happens when you shoot a moose at your feet in the head with a .300 weatherby. The pic with my hand around the base of the horn is a high 50 low 60 inch bull... and it was found in my driveway...about a 5inch diameter.

 

Thanks for sharing !! Moose aren't real common here. In over 10 years of shedhunting we have found 3 sides. All are pretty small. I would love to stumble across a few more and would be thrilled to find a 50 inch side or set. Heck I would be happy with a 40 incher.

Very cool! My pops has quite a few moose sheds he picked up in Ontario over the years while moose hunting. Every time I pick one up I'm amazed that they can carry those things around on their head. They're heavy suckers!

 

I would love to get my hands on a moose antler for my game room,,,those are sweet!!
