If you go to a protest with a skateboard and raise it over your head to swing at someone, don't be surprised if you get shot. It's not that hard to understand.
Hear! Hear! or is it Dilly! Dilly!? Well said @Germ! I was going to add what @Vabowman said. Both of you together form a clear picture of the problem. Broken and fatherless homes combined with poorly provided educational opportunities have contributed to the problem. A few months ago I read Michael Oher's book I Beat the Odds. You may remember him, part of his story is told in the movie The Blind Side. The book dives deeper into his life before the events of the movie. He points to both of the problems as being the primary cause of what troubles the poor, black communities in the inner cities. He also points out that it is a conscious choice to work to overcome those obstacles and leave. As he sees it, the biggest challenge is that most people in those circumstances do not trust the government to give them the help they need. Quite honestly, neither do I.
As someone who has a sister adopted from Africa, and thirty years of living in a multi-ethnic, multi-national family, I can say beyond a shadow of doubt that I have never and will never, without major changes, voted for a democrat candidate. The perpetuation of systematic racism from the Democratic Party is the sole reason for this. The Republicans are not without fault, but on the issue of racism, the Republicans are a better choice. Not perfect by any means, but better. It was a mostly Democrat south that tried to secede, which led to the Civil War Nathan Forester, founder of the KKK, was a democrat Lyndon B Johnson was a racist The Civil Rights movement took place in what at the time was still mostly, the Democrat led states in the south. It is the large democrat controlled cities in America where Black poverty is the worst. President Lincoln was a republican. Dr. Martin Luther King was a Republican. I personally do not care for the either party and the direction they have gone over the last 10-15 years. But to deny that the democrats have been a stronger proponent of systematic racism and have made this problem worse in America makes zero sense.
As far as the riots are concerned, it's very simple...One of governments primary purposes is to provide public safety and national security for the citizens. So if local governments either choose not to try and prevent the riots, or the police are too overwhelmed and outnumbered, then we can deploy the National Guard/State Guard/Military or citizens will organize and become armed to handle this public safety pandemic. Frankly imo we are very close to citizens organizing together to protect their cities. I'm surprised the Guard hasn't been activated more to stop the burning of our cities. This crap has become to normalized.
A strategy is not a mandate, Being leader != being a dictator What's the goal for infection rates for the US? It's 5% correct? So for the states that are over 5% what is Trump administration doing to help those states? Not dictate what to do, but being a partner and working towards a common goal?
Apparently this was the first guy to engage the guy with the rifle using a handgun, then he was chased and encountered 2 more times shooting one in the head and another in the chest. Looks like he may have been trying to shoot the handgun out of his hand and hit his arm. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If your government won't protect you, you must protect yourself.
Just wanted to point out that he is also screaming while not properly utilizing his mask. That's a big no-no as noted in an article currently on CNN website
When I first saw video of shooter ,before what went down, my thought was....WTH is a 15 yr old doing at a riot with a rifle!!!! Anyone know his age?
He’s been arrested and is under 18 so name hasn’t been released yet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
You are right. Court records show Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Kenosha County. He is now jailed in Lake County, Illinois, and has been charged there as a fugitive from justice. He will appear for extradition hearing on Friday.
Watch this...why the hell is this kid being charged? https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...protests-jacob-blake-what-we-know/3441684001/
The national guard can only be used IF the Governor calls for it .... once again it is the democrats refusing help from the Feds ... Trump has offered to help, the Wisc. Governor turned him down ... vote for Democrats and the violence is what YOU get ... then ad in the rhetoric from these dem politicians and the Anti-Trump fake news media fanning the flames of hate with no help from the state Gov. there isnt much that can be done .... A report on Chicago TV last evening said many of these rioters/looters (Marxist Democrats) are being bused in from across the state line from the Chicago area, same that was done in Portland and Seattle, they are coming from out of state ...
Federal government was (originally) those powers not covered by states. Mustering/forming a military for national (e.g. multi/collective state) defense. Local municipalities also providing services like police, judges, prosecutors and others like fire, water, sewer...also find ideas. It's a practical economy of scale problem. But this breaks down if and when the law is selectively or inconsistently not enforced. (I believe Ms Fox of Chi, is in deep **** on this point) Further, I would argue it is increasingly willfully negligentect. I get some heartburn when we use guard or other branches in cities (under states) failing to uphold their responsibilities. But AG and the governor should be stepping in and leading way before the Feds...
