If I don’t agree with a party’s values I’m not going to vote for them. What’s wrong with that? I’m not going to vote Democrat or republican just because “it’s something you need to do.” I will vote for a different party who I agree with (if I agree with any of them). I'm alot like you MN Huner. I consider myself a Christian but ain't been to church in 30 years. As for politics, I don't claim to be a republican but I sure as hell ain't a demacrat!!!
well how many parties do you think there are with a legit shot at winning? I will tell you.. 2 that's it. 2.. pick one or don't vote. If you vote for another party, well you have exercised your voting rights, but it's a waste. You may sleep better, but it won't change a thing. But, it is America so you can do that. I choose to be active in politics to a degree. So I vote with the party that aligns with my morals and values the most..obviously, the Republicans. As long as dems support abortion, try force me to embrace gay marriage, transgender and the race baiting BS, along with power central government they will never get my vote. I have to accept laws that provide rights for people, and that's ok, but I don't have to celebrate or embrace what I believe to be wrong. By that, I mean those groups should have the same rights I do, nothing more, nothing less but they should also tolerate my stance just as they want me to tolerate theirs. Equality, aint it great?
If I don’t agree with the democratic or republican views, I simply won’t vote for them. If I don’t agree with either I won’t vote for either. That’s my right as an American, isn’t it? Does that make me a bad person if I don’t vote for the republican or Democratic Party? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Church is a place for Christians to fellowship and worship and serve...It's not a "saving" factor. John 3:16 is what matters. Christianity is like being pregnant...you either are or you are not...
Nope, not at all. It just makes your vote irrelevant. Hey, Im a civics teacher, it's that simple man. in this country we have a 2 party system. No other party matters. It's a fact.
I'm white, I'm 46 and I live in one of the most liberal states in the country. My father was murdered when I was 10 years old. Before that I was beat as a child and woke late at night when my mother was on the receiving end of a beating. I have two siblings that went through the same, luckily one was younger and cannot remember any details. My mother spent time in prison and I as long as my siblings lived in foster care and then with family members. None of us lived together growing up. I grew up in a trailer, lived in one until I was 15, 2 foster homes aside. I went through the courts for 2 years in custody battles between the age of 10 and 12. My mom remarried, my step dad then found a way for 3 minor children to sign over their trust fund from a life insurance policy to "build a house and a family". Took 3 years to build that dream home, then a mere 2 years after to kick all of us out an keep him and his children in that "home". Been living on my own since I was 17, been arrested enough times to keep VS busy, hung out with some of the worst people I have ever known, yet here I am. A free thinker, home owner, 16 plus years at my job and still going strong. I'm white privileged though, handed everything to me since birth as a white infant.
My point was you chose a side, maybe not the same one each vote, but when you vote you choose a side.
That's an inspiring story cls!! Thanks for sharing that.. Va Bowman, church now days seems to be nothing more than ' did you see what - so n so was wearing," Church is where folks go to judge others.
I knew there was a reason why I have always liked and respected you and your posts (even if we don’t agree on everything). No lies about it. One of the few that I actually “look up to” on the forums. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
so, uh, as to if he legally possessed that rifle...read the highlighted and also section (b) (2) game, set match. The kid should walk. Tomorrow.
I think it has always been that way.. a preacher told me once, "when you find the perfect, it ain't perfect no more because you walked in..." lol.. every church will have it's issues, we are human. The important thing is, a relationship with Christ
Aahhhh I'm thinking Trump may have changed that back in 2016. You could vote for Trump but not the party,in other words not support either party just the canidate. Now that May, just may, have changed this time around. Trump has done significant , hopefully, changes to the republican party though make it his own ...hhhmmm ???
Church's are not perfect, they are created by sinful hands, worshiped in by sinful beings, led by sinful folks...the difference is if the Church proclaims Jesus crucified and admittance of every single person realizes they are as my first sentence described. Many churches avoid that honesty or brutally convicting approach to the scripture...but they all should. I was with you until you said matters and not "have a chance to win presently". All the parties matter, but the two party BS system has grown too much of a beast for anyone else to slay. The issue is without a truly fed up (no longer blind sheeple) voting base that will literally FIGHT the Republicans and Democrats for the 3rd party candidates chance to partake actually in the race it is hopeless. I mean shoot...the red and blue will become Purple faster than your eyes can blink when it comes to them keeping anyone else from partaking in the Presidential Election process.
Remember the 'knock out game' where punks would just slug random people, trying to knock them out ... this is much much worse .... warning on the vid .... In Baltimore .... https://disrn.com/news/white-man-hit-in-head-with-brick-from-behind
Nobody should be shocked. I ain't. And the recording party though it was funny.... But we wonder why things like Ruby Ridge happen. Yall remember? Randy Weaver? Just wanted to live away from things like this..and yet he was attacked..
