That said, and to your question, I would feel comfortable giving a firearm to anyone I feel is competent when a SHTF scenario unfolds. I'd rather be shacked up deep in the woods than in the streets with a violent mob, but we don't get to choose the events we encounter. Specifically to this case, I do not know the shooter. Interviews prior to the shooting and still images show he was concerned for safety and well being and showed proper discipline with the handling of the firearm. Extended trigger finger outside the trigger guard and, regardless of your position, he did hit his intended target(s) and eliminated the threat(s). Everyone asks why was he there, why did he have an illegally possessed firearm. I'd also like to ask why was he targeted? Was he seen as weak and vulnerable because of his youth appearance? What were his aggressors going to do once they disarmed him and he laid there defenseless? Two people involved with this are still alive to make statements and a plethora of video documentation exists so that there is not going to be a he said/she said accounting of what transpired. Both of the two who are still alive, of the four involved, possessed firearms. Did the one who now has to become left arm dominate have a legal possession of his firearm? I do not know this lawyers reputation or expertise, but knowing what transpired in the Sandmann case, I do not believe I would want a defamation lawyer to take on my right to self defense case. Fame does not bring experience and in this case, pro bono or not, I think I would rather have a team of lawyers experienced in the field of firearm and self defense laws.

If the NRA does not step in and offer their legal/monetary assistance that will speak volumes to me on the NRA themselves. Remove the reason he was there and how he came into possession of the firearm. If you cannot say he defended himself from attack, regardless of weapon, then you are wrong. What if he was there armed with only a knife? Can you stab an aggressor in WI when threatened? Would blade length or opening mechanism be the scrutiny?

to your last, reporting I have read is that Lefty is a convicted felon, so no. Kenosha is maybe a half hour (20 miles) from the boy's hometown of Antioch. Antioch is right on the WI/IL border. It's not like he flew in from Portland to ORD, rented a van, and drove it up to Kenosha...that was ANTIFA.
