Wife and I were speaking last night and she said it about right...people feel so wronged that it has built up to the level where they dont care about facts. They are pissed. Kind of like the OJ simpson murders. People were happy he got off to F the system that to them represented years and years of oppression. Even if two people were murdered and they knew OJ was guilty. A desperate and unyielding mainframe leads to a lot of violence, and this case, riots and more.
I am not saying life is fair, but can't we at least agree and show our kids as I did my son. The way Luka handled it is how an adult handles situations. He did not overreact, he did not pout it cry. he just kept playing and then letter accepted an apology and beat them If we can't move on from when someone apologizes and it's accepted by the person, there is little hope I guess.

When it happened, everyone was in agreement the officers actions were wrong. Everyone. Early on we were lead to believe that his death was direct resupt to juggular pressure cutting off the blood supply due to pressure from the kneeling officers knee on his neck. Agencies across the nation started barring chokes and restraints if they had not already done so after Gray. The riots didn't stop. They arrested and charged the officer with murder in the first degree. That wasn't enough either, there wasn't justice yet, so no peace. When he's convicted they'll think about it, but until then no peace. Now the fentanyl levels is out and the results are not going to be good. They will not get a conviction on first degree homicide, even without the fentanyl evidence, it's not going to happen as there is no way you can say that officer started his day intent to kill George Floyd. Negligent homicide is and should be the charge he is facing. I think most everyone can agree the officer was excessive and negligent in his handling of it after Floyd was restrained in cuffs. Prosecutions best way to get a conviction would be to show that even if George Floyd died from an overdose of fentanyl, had the officer not been kneeling on his neck he may have been able to see Floyd having complications related tonan overdose and been able to render treatment or even administer Narcan. Instead, you will have an over zealous DA who was pressured by the media and activists to seek 1st degree murder charges of which he will be acquitted of, I can almost guarantee that. What's going to happem then? No peace. I don't know the answers, not even going to pretend to, but when you give in to pressure just to apease a certain group of activists you're not truly seeking justice, you're caving and catering to the masses. Now, the Left's narrative is switching to a 17 year old with a rifle is the reason of the violence. 3 straight months Portland has burned, for an action that occured 3 nights ago.
