Jacob Blake, 29. Black male shot in the back 7 times.. Riots already underway. So the video shows him resisting arrest, walking away from police with them right on his heels he opens his door to the car and reaches in...he's instantly shot. he is alive and will live. Now, what news is not telling people is this. He had a warrant out. He had convictions of sexual assault, assaulting a police officer, brandishing a firearm while intoxicated in bar, and two domestic abuse convictions and prior resisting arrest..so now you can defy police orders, go into your car for god knows what and expect to not be shot? sick of this sh&t! I just don't know why anyone would be in law enforcement. It just ain't worth it.. let these people live in their cesspool and take of their own hoods.
Agree I saw some of that video. Local media reported officers were called for domestic dist. Video was cut just before rounds were touched off... Media reporting left some open points in my mind. Maybe one of our resident LEO's can opine... (tongue in cheek) Where was the social worker?! Why shot, not tasered? Officer was point blank. Why alive with 7 shots at point blank? Most important, why was this guy out on the streets?
From what I heard.. and who knows how much water that'll carry. But the Domestic disturbance was two females fighting and he broke it up but when detained he decided he didn't need to be there, probably the active warrant had something to do with that. I was wondering myself why they didn't just taser or pepper spray him. Then again who knows what would have happened if he was able to take off in a car full of kids or if their was a weapon in the car. But I'm sure rioting will solve all the problems with police..
He dindu nuffin....he was a family man..he was going back to school...he was minding his business he won't bothering nobody with his warrant for arrest...etc etc I watched a guy today say "I don't understand why cops have to shoot to kill" "cops shouldn't be shooting to kill anyone"
I used to live near there. Next city to the north, Racine. Never been more happy in my life to not be there anymore. No riots/looting around here.... yet. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
Watching the video my first thought was “why did they think shooting him that many times was the first action they needed to take.” But I have 0 police training and who knows what happened outside of the video I saw. So tough to see a short video and come to a conclusion on what the right course of action should have been. Can any of the police/military personnel chime in here? Based on what you know/saw what would your course of action have been? To me the guy didn’t appear to really be “resisting” but he was reaching/trying to get into the car (which I know you should never do with cops trying to apprehend you). very simple ... when the police tell/ give you an order to stop, show your hands, go to the ground, dont resist, you do just that ... the guy acted stupidly and got whacked ... warrant on his ass, has history of resisting and fighting the police, was recently arrested for illegal firearm .... do stupid things, win the big prize ... I dont feel one bit sorry for the dumb ass ... https://100percentfedup.com/video-j...revealed-after-police-shooting-in-kenosha-wi/ here is the video of him acting stupidly ... click view https://twitter.com/nolimitchrizi/status/1297684746370252806
Dumb shooting, I was a cop for a few years, plenty of time to tackle/taze/etc his ass. He never should have made it to the door, following him with your pistol was dumb as hell. And no, I don’t agree with all the bull looting/rioting etc. I also am not taking into account any other circumstances other than what I see below. Watch the first shot, cop looks like he had an accidental discharge while trying to finally grab the dude and just went with it.
I had the same thought about the accidental discharge when I first saw it. Still a **** show all around. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Some cops dont know what they have on a call and get caught in the gray area. And then that gray area expands to a point where the officer knows he or she has to do something, but doesnt know their legal authority...combine that with an officer unsure of his or he physical capabilities if a fight ensues and you have a rapid rise to level stupid. You need to immediately identify what your legal authority is on a call for service. It helps facilitate a good beginning and guides you in the right direction. Know your legal authority. Act decisively when things ramp with the peace of mind that you are in the right legally. Dont know your legal authority and are unsure of your physical and mental capabilities, then you put yourself into a position that favors you doing something stupid.
once again, if the man would have stayed put while being detained, none of this would have happened. I do not know why he wasn't tazed. or tackled.. but I assume they were probably afraid to do such with all eyes on them. Then by the time it dawned on them, it was too late. Once he went into his car ....who knows what he was going to do. so he was shot. bad policing? maybe. but certainly bad action on the man who was shot. do not disobey orders to stay put...that's every case I have seen. they always resist and then it leads to bad or split decisions on the cops part.
here is what may have happened if he got to a firearm in his car .. 3 thugs return to vehicle and open fire on police ... 3 officers wounded !! .. https://nationalfile.com/video-3-po...opened-doors-on-same-day-as-kenosha-shooting/
Due process is a novel idea, I admit it does take a little more time than justice via three person police execution panels. I have equal condemnation of apologists for rioters, as I do for the police apologists.
They did taser him and it didn't phase him. Then I watched that video and to my surprise they had an investigator on a news show that studies these videos. He saw what I did. The guy fiddled with his waist band switching hands. Then I don't know about you I don't try to get in my car seat by going low and head first. That was before the cop grabbed his T shirt. So there's more to it.
reports say 911 call was because he was waiving a knife around and police knew his violent past. He then told police he had a gun in his car, then marched to his car...
Yep. Let's let the facts come out. I actually spoke with my wife about a situation just like this, this morning. Officer doesnt see a gun but the person says he has a gun and reaches for something. She and I were discussing something bc she was pissed at a police shooting. Luckily she is level headed and can reason even if she is very sensitive about violence towards black people.
