I got a text from my nephew last night of a Cougar that was hit two weeks ago in Nineveh, Indiana.

There has long been rumors that they were in southern Indiana, but I don’t believe anyone had actually found a dead one. The pic was forwarded to him from a friend that is on the State Police force.

    I can’t verify it’s not a hoax, but I believe it’s real.

Several years ago a lady that worked for me told me of seeing three on her way to work. A momma and two cubs. The location she saw them was not 10 miles as a crow files away from where this picture was supposedly taken.

Any of you Indiana guys here about this, or have seen anything about it?

The DNR put some in a state forest here but will not admit to it. I think it comes down to the fact that if people are told they are in there that they would be poached. so DNR just say's nope its a rumor.

That picture is from Florida. It makes the rounds quite often. The DNR does have trail cam pictures of a mountain lion in Greene County, just north of Bloomfield, but that is the only confirmed sighting in Indiana.
