I have named this old boy Droopy because of his face. I know he is at least 7 1/2 and possibly older. I started hunting this property 3 yrs ago have been getting pics of him every since. He has been way more visible this year for some reason. Think he is so old he is hoping someone will put him out of his misery. If you will notice that is my stands about 10-12 yrds behind him!!

    Damn....Old warrior, FO SHO !!

You sure he made it through these past few nights ? That dude looks like he is on his last string !!

Well, good luck. His age alone makes him a world class deer !!

and let me just add there, sugar, you should probably try to be in that stand at 1:38 today !!

I was thinking the same thing.

Seriously, imagine the things that deer has seen and done. I'd like to say that he is really smart, but, he is standing 12yards from a tree stand..But, perhaps he knows when the stand is empty ??!!??!!

I bet there's ALOT of big rubs in that area from the size of his neck. Or else his shootin roids. Good luck with him! He'd be a trophy in anyones book.

From one Hoosier to another, thats an awesome OLD buck. The reason for the droop IMO, Is I believe he has his left eye missing completly. My son found a big buck in a ditch years ago that we believed was stuck in the mud, long story short, after a rescue attempt we figured out that he had been hit by a car and had no use of his back legs. The sherrif put him out and as we looked at him closer he also had the droop and it was because he had one eye missing from fighting. He also had 2 tears in his ears. those are great pics and you picked the right name for him ;)

Wow, cool buck. Looks like a dang bull in the first pic...all chest and neck. Good luck with him, amazing to know you have one like that around.

Bloodcrick...you might be right on the eye, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe that's why he's near the stand...can't see it on that side, LOL

    Good luck IB!

Man It would be nice to know that bucks age. I just noticed he dosent have much meat on his back hips any more, If he survives the season he is likely not to endure the winter. IB I believe you about still having the eye but Im gonna throw in some pics for ya of the guy my son found that we tried to rescus. One eyed willy we call him :D

THat is very cool. Tried rescuing a doe out of a fence one time but ended up having to put her down. Her leg was to messed up.
