Last October, my wife and I attended a writer's conference in Florence, SC. One of the activities was a breakout time at the local sheriff's department training facility. My wife had dabbled in archery for a few years. This was the first time she shot a X-bow. First and third shots were right on the money. I made a plaque and it is on the wall over her makeup table. Amazing considering we often hear how cumbersome and difficult to maneuver crossbows are.

sota, I'll add that she was using a rest. I've always been told when shooting to use a rest. This is taught in my hunter education classes with the Power Point showing examples. Still, it is something to hit the exact place twice in a row at about 20 yards. A few days ago, I was sighting in my bow and hit a nock, bending one of the "ears" out of kilter. What's the saying?- A blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.
