helped a buddy the other day who is trying to get into bowhunting and just getting out in the outdoors more starting this season. took him to Bass Pro (big dude, BH.com doesnt carry XXXXL) and got him a jacket and pants and a pair of boots to get him started. yall shoulda seen the look on this grown man's face as he was looking thru and comparing camo patterns, judging thinsulate and price different items. sure hunting is a blast and i love to do it but sharing that with someone else and seeing them get "hooked" is just as good if not better of a feeling. i just know how much i wish i could thank my dad, uncles, grandpa and buddies for be patient with me and teaching. just hope someone someday feels the same about me....

I know how you feel. This past weekend my wife and I gave my 15 yo nephew a bow. Its the '02 Alpine Impact X-treme I used to use and passed on to my wife. She has decided she is a gun hunter and Tanner has really been wanting a compound, so now he has one. I had to get him set up with arrows, a release, etc. The DL on that bow is very adjustable and it didn't take long to have him dialed in. He wants to hunt with it this year. I told him he has a month to practice before I give him a proficiency test and decide to put him in a stand or not. I'm thinking he hunts this year.
