Oh I see that now..yes those are shadows. I was in my garage Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yeah if the string was hitting your arm repeatedly and your main complaint was still where the arrow was hitting I would either figure you were one tough SOB or bound and determined to shoot a bow with too long of a draw length to the point of having it be painful
Like I said in your other thread regarding the WB, take your rig into a shop and have them look at your it, and check your form whilst shooting. Out of curiosity; What range are you sighting in at?
You can literally twist your D loop around and around the string to level it. The serving is like giant threads on a screw. Pinch the d loop, hold string and spin d loop only. Whether it goes up or down depends on the direction the serving is tied. On eye dominance. Close left eye as noted above. If that's it, it will shoot far to the right, if my head is thinking correctly
You either have something wrong with the set up i.e. its not centered or lined up, or your form is terrible. Go and get it checked out otherwise you'll get frustrated and not enjoy it
I always went to a local shop and payed close attention, after a while you stop having questions. In your case go to a expert and it will take them seconds and they will make it perfect as opposed to you getting it... Better Good luck and hurry man only 62 days left
it appears your sight is not centered. At all. BTW - I have to admit I'm a bit skeptical of someone who joined in 15 and never posted until the floodgates opened today. You deploy or something?
Don't throw your WB away. If you do not know how to set up your bow: put in the work, research it, and make it happen. Google and YouTube are your friends in that department. If not, take it to a shop.
Any word on what happened to OP? What was wrong with his rest? This is the same guy who started like a 5 page thread on if he can shoot a coyote with his deer hunting arrow. Either he's like 11 or just trolling us.
Shoot it at 3 yards and tell us where it hits. Use the same arrow to do this 2-3 shots. Yes taking it to a shop is always best until you learn but in my opinion, I would rather try and learn myself then to keep relying on a shop every time I had a problem. With the internet, YouTube and google, it makes things much easier. Kudos to you for at least trying to do it yourself. That Quaker biscuit may not be the best, but it is definitely good enough to get it to shoot decent groups. Check out your fletchings. Are there any marks on them from the rest? Blazer vanes always seem to shoot best with a wisker biscuit.
Just go into a bowshop and have them check the entire setup and have it paper tuned. I would also have them check your form while you are there just to make sure you're doing it correctly.
After you moved your rest to the right did that improve things for you? Ideally you want to line your string up down the middle of your bow and then make sure the sight is close to alignment with that. The center of the rest should also be in alignment. If you put your arrow on the string, line the string up with the center of the bow and then check your arrow. If the tip is pointing more towards the left move the rest right until the arrow lines up with the string. That should get you close.
Your string missing/kicking off the inside of your string stop like this will cause your arrow to kick left.
