I've had them turn off on impact at times.

Did you jump him today or last night?

Both.. He went 200-300 yards last night with okish blood trail then he bedded down and we seen the nock. I walked within maybe within 50ish yards and he got up and walked away. We backed out and went in this morning and seen the blood trail all but quit but then we bumped him again. He only went maybe 100 yrds from the first bed. He let me get within 25-30 yrds today before he jumped. Thats when we seen the pink gooey stuff. He seems like he isn't doing good.. I don't know.

Did you not take your bow this morning? Sounds like he's in rough shape, is there any way to come from the other direction and have someone bump him to you for a follow up shot?

He got the jump on me.. I was in some thick stuff and looking the other way. No chance at a shot. I'm thinking he didn't go far again and I think I'm going to try again close to dark. Give him as much time as I can. My thinking is for one he didn't go far either time and two he would most likely wouldn't have let us get anywhere near him if he wasn't hurt bad. He would have ran to the next county.

Ya if you see that nock lot up again. Go in on him like your hunting him not tracking him. Get down wind etc. so when you get close enough you can hit him again. Sounds like he has a nasty wound. But not fatal. If you guys just March in there your gonna keep jumping him.

Just my 2 cents... If he didn't expire over night I'm not sure he is hurt all that badly.

    Keep us updated! Good luck.

No luck.. I know I sound crazy at times, but I feel huge buck.. Button buck.. Doe.. They all deserve me trying everything I can and giving it my all.. I am exhausted! Even if there was little to no chance, I gave it my all. Now i just hope he can indeed heal up and go on being the stud of a buck he is! Thanks to everyone that gave me advice and wished me the best.
