Shot the wide buck in the shoulder last night. Blood trial is almost non existent then we jump him.. Real liquidity looking blood now.. What's that mean?
Almost none.. But it looks watered down.. Couldn't see if the arrow was still on him but I'm thinking it was
Where did you hit him? I was on a trail once where the blood looked watery. Turned out he had hit the deer in the jaw and we were finding saliva and blood mixed. He had to finsh it with a second shot.
If it was low I'm saying knuckle and brisket. Deer will most likely make a full recover Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Would the arrow stay in that long? I figured maybe stuck behind shoulder blade.. The shot was half way up and def shoulder
I would think you got 1 lung. The entry wound isn't bleeding much anymore and the blood your finding is coming from the nose and mouth. He could live for days or weeks. Do you shoot expendable's or fixed?
You jumped him again today? Also, are you sure it's not dew mixed in with the blood? As for the gooey stuff, sounds like coagulated blood, if you did jump him this morning his wound is likely opening back up. Hard call, of the arrow has stayed in this long I'm betting you hit the humerus and lodged the broad head in. Likely a non lethal hit but could be fatal with infection down the road.
No.. We backed out after jumping him again. I didn't take any pics but my nurse friend came by the house and I told her I found the pink stuff and she said his lung is full and its coming out his nose/mouth. Another question.. How long on average will a nocturnal glow? 24hrs?
