Thats what I came up with.. but it looks like he may be holding a drop tine with his right hand. I guess the other two may be stickers off the back? Awesome buck either way.

Ya 9 on the right 7 on the left. Each brow tine is split I will see about getting a side picture and try to get it put on there. I guess you would count the brow tines as 4? Since they split and are about 2" long apiece?

Congrats on a bruiser! Am I seeing both the entrance and exit near his shoulder?

Thanks for all the comments the shoulder is the exit he was qrt away entrance was 4" or so behind the shoulder. I have shot 5 deer over the last 6-7 years with the old school muzzy 100 grain and they never fail.....well other than the lack of blood this time but he only ran about 50 yards.

I'm actually proud of someone I've never met. I think this is the first time since I've been on this forum, where a guy lost a buck, and stuck with it until he found it.

Shows a lot about your character. Congrats on a great buck, now with a great story too.

Not the first... but one of the few... and it is still edible, which is even more unusual.

Man thanks for the kind words. It is the worst feeling thinking you wounded a deer and are not a me to find it. I would be lying if I didn't admit I was highly doubting that if a recovery, the no blood just threw me for a crazy loop.

It's odd, I've heard more cases of little blood trails this year than I ever recall. My doe was so dang fat that I think it stemmed the blood flow. All our deer are fat as heck this year...I wonder if it means anything about the coming winter...
