    Hey guys,

Just purchased a NAP Mantis 2 Hub Blind and went about setting it up today. I’ve never hunted out of a ground blind before (strictly treestands or on the ground/natural cover for past 18 years of hunting). I got the blind setup per the instructions, but I have 3 stakes leftover out of the 8 they sent, and I’m not really sure what the little strings that were also in the bag of stakes are for.

I’m also a larger guy and even with a very small stool I’m sitting up way too high to shoot out of it comfortably with my bow (shooting a Hoyt Pro Defiant 30” Axle to Axle). I almost should be sitting on my knees inside the blind, but that’s not comfortable for a long sit. It seems like the highest point of the blind is almost angled out in front of the middle shooting window, instead of over top of where I’d be shooting giving me more bow clearance.

Wasn’t sure if I just didn’t have it setup correctly, and if anyone else had any ideas on how to get more comfortable inside the blind. Thanks in advance

Sounds like it's a little on the small side. I looked at the NAP website and it doesn't even give dimensions. A milk crate and a cushion might be your only option. I'm only 5'9" but I got the Barronett Big Cat 350. 6' 6" to the center roof hub and plenty of room for 2 hunters, gear and chairs. I can stand up, sit in a chair or kneel and shoot out of any window. $179 right now on Amazon.

I haven't personally hunted from a 2 hub but I have heard the windows are a bit on the low side. I know a lot of people will move off their chair and shoot from their knees, but obviously that's not the preferred method if you can avoid it.

As for the ropes, they attach to the outside of each hub and then get staked to the ground. They help hold the hubs out in case of winds or storms that may blow the blind in on itself.
