help with arrow selection

    im going to purchase a mathews helim in the next couple of weeks, 70# @ 29" , will set it on 65# , can yall put me in the ballpark on arrow spine selection,i will probably use 125 gr heads ! ill be putting a NAP apache rest on the bow using a scott mongoose release.

    Something in the 340-360 range, such as maxima hunter or gold tip pro hunter 7595.

    Same setup I shoot... Your arrow length will probably be right around 28". Maxima's you'll be good with their 350's, Eastons you'll need the 340's, and as Mobow said, you'll want the 7595 most likely with a 125gr. head.

    I'm shooting Maxima 350's and they are shooting very well. Can't go wrong with the Easton Axis 340 either.

    350's cut to about 29" would be bout perfect. Especially if you are going to shot fixed blade heads at all. You could get away with a .400 cut short but you are better off with the .350.

    You will find yourself right on the border line on most arrow charts. I have almost the same setup other than you having a inch longer draw. I shoot Goldtip XT Hunters in 5575. On applications that I may want the shaft longer I go with a 7595. Such as for my Magnus bullheads where I do not cut the shaft down at all.
