Hello All, I recently received a new NAP Apache drop away rest and need a little help setting it up. First of all, let me preface this by saying that when shooting field points through my Bowtech Admiral it shoots great. the groups are tight and I feel very confident in my shooting. The trouble arises when attempting to shoot broadheads.

I attempted to shoot broadheads for the first time yesterday and, when drawing my G5 Montecs get caught on the lip of my bow right before the rest rises (where the arrow points). Would simply lowering the cord on the cable so the rest raises earlier solve this problem or am I looking at a bigger issue here?

Thanks for any advice and help!

Did you take the 1/4" of slack out after getting to full draw?

I ended up having to split my down cable and then serve it in to keep it from slipping.

I am impressed by the groups i am getting from mine, have ruined two freshly fletched arrows already in just 2 sessions with it.

It all depends on how you have your cord attached to your cable. In any case it looks like your going to have to shorten your cable, not slide it down. Generally speaking, on the roller guard bows the cords needs to be served in higher than traditional bows.

I was originally taught to serve in my rests at approx. two fingers widths below the rest, on rollerguards bows, more like one finger.

Also, on timing. You want your rest to come to the full "up" position with approx 2" of draw cycle left.

Good luck and if you have anymore questions keep asking! Working on your own equipment is very rewarding.
