Going to plant turnips this year for the fall of 2013 and winter of 2014. I live in Central Illinois. How many sq. ft. or acres do most plant? The spot they will be going is on a slope. Will that work? What month is the best to plant?
Ive planted them for a few years now here in central NY. I have an acre on one property and two acres on another. I plant them mid to end of august and have had great success. They destroy them.
