Me and a buddy are going to try and set up a food plot this coming spring. I have never set one up and am wondering if you all would be willing to share your wealth of knowledge and give me some tips on putting one in.

Questions I have include: Location, type of food, how large it should be and how hard are they to tend

    Thanks ahead of time.

I found a bunch of information on food plotting by searching other peoples posts on this forum. Go to the Search option and type in food plot. You can narrow the search if you hit advanced search and click on "search titles only". Good luck!

Location: start with a place you can access easily with good cover around it.
Type of food: You could plant any of the food plt mixes and have them eat it.
How large: 10% of your huntable land.IE: woods not crop land.Once you have it tilled, soil tested, fertilized, limed and planted then you let mother nature do the rest.
