I throw left handed, shoot right handed. My dominant eye: Right Eye. I pull the bow [ i have listed here for sale, no sell might as well try it] w/ease left hand and the form feels right!!! When I shot it a few times at the Archery facility, I aimed at the lower left target and hit the lower right target. When I tried pulling Right Handed form felt ....so so so ... This is a nice bow and I'm thinking I'd like to shoot'r more oftern... Tips, advice...anything that will contribute to my learning.... I am 64+, in pretty good heath, but I wear Trifocals... I am in Omaha, Nebraska. Thanks mike sr.
If your dominate eye is your right one, you need to shoot right handed. practice until it feels right.
Im left handed. Shoot right handed with gun. When it came time to buy a bow i couldnt decide. Went with rigjthanded and shoot wirh that now. May take practice or maybe a good teacher Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk
Is it a L or R hand bow? The grip could cause bad torque issues if you shoot it with the opposite hand. You should shoot with you dominant eye if you can. Also, the guys at the archery shop can help you with basic form & questions. Good luck and welcome to the forum
The best way to go is to shoot with your eye dominance. It is possible to shoot against it and close or squint your dominant eye but it isn't ideal, especially for hunting. Considering your eyesight issue I would suggest going right handed in your case even more.
