Tony, do you realize msrp is about $270 on the burris full field II and it comes with the range marks in the scope? Not trying to change your mind but burris makes a damn nice scope at a really affordable price with American glass.
That is half the MSRP of the scope I just purchased I need rings now...never realized there were so many
This is a Very Good Scope! http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Buckmas...42&sr=8-12&keywords=nikon+3-9+prostaff+scopes
Since you were so late to the party with your advice (sans the smartass one :D) I went to Cabelas and purchased mounts and rings by Leupold ....something tells me I won't be disappointed in those either ....
I love my Sims rubbery Sling. Doesn't slip off my shoulder while hiking around on the mountains. It's stiff tho' http://www.amazon.com/Vibration-Laboratory-Limbsaver-Kodiak-Rifle/dp/B006YU8RPA
So....here she is with her new leather sling....rings, mounts awaiting the Vortex.... I think I'm in love....
People who use their guns as working tools put synthetic slings on them. At least get some decent ammo for it. Cough... BARNES.. cough.
I use these on my synthetic stocked, synthetic slinged rifle. They'd look funny on your vortex. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/79...ifle-scope-cover-standard-eyepiece-rear-matte Vortex makes flip up covers that would work on your scope. Of course, they're PLASTIC . Heh heh heh. I do have some cheap flip up covers for some of my other scopes. Butler creek ones. They work until I break them off.
Here I got my whole rifle done and nowhere to shoot it. You got a place to shoot but no scope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good Scope covers are some of the worst made stuff out there. The butler creek ones break easy. I've found just using a traditional rubber bikini cover is about the best these days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Natchez shooters supply has some decent prices. I picked up a refurbished scope and rangefinder over the last couple years.
Depends on the county .... I hunt mostly Wyoming county and they are legal there....I live in Erie, so when I go out back to deer hunt, it will have to be with the 11-87
