Vacation planned this Sunday to next Sunday but the weather looks way too warm for my liking. Should I take the chance with the weather and push it to the following week?
Will the rut action be better?
    Thoughts?

Does the weather matter when your shooting from the couch?

No seriously. In my area and the time frame for when I've shot my biggest bucks has been from November 7 -12 time. But could be different because your farther north?

Maybe if you know of anyone local to you that has shot a lot of rut bucks. Ask him what days he shot his biggest. Then go off that. But if me and not knowing any local Intel. I would push it back a week.

I would take my chance on the cooler temps if the forecast and flexibility are possible.

I’d bump it back. I’m a big fan of the 2nd week in November

Wish I could change my vacation from this week to next week. I’ll take warm temps over dealing with the orange army though.

IMO the weather this time of year doesn't matter. Deer need to breed now, and that's it. They don't stop just because it warms up a little bit.

I killed the deer in my avatar when it was 72 degrees on November 7th. Based on trail cameras, he covered more than 2 miles throughout the course of that day before he got to me.

When the time is right, the time is right.

yup ... and THAT ^^^ being said, while I use 3 or 4 weather sites for wind, etc. one I use is windy.com and it is showing wind gusts to nearly 50mph Saturday evening with a high of 76 on Tues/election day ...no 'cool down' really till Thurs ... I'll be checking to see what the other sites/predictions show as time goes by, right now another isnt showing the high winds. I usually dont trust the sites unless within 2-3 days or so ..
