I'm not sure if this is where this goes, if not I'll get rid of it but anyways...

I just got a "new" bow from my uncle. I mean this in that it's new to me but a relic compared to some bows. I know it needs restrung but I was wondering what else I need to do to make it huntable? besides buying sights and stuff what else do i need? (and dont say arrows and broadheads, i know that haha)

best advice I can give is to take it to your local archery shop and have it checked out then go from there

Pro shop will let you know if it's safe to shoot. Check for cracks in the limbs etc.

Thanks. It's a trip to the closest Pro Shop but I'll make a trip out there today.

If it's a little bit of a trek to the nearest pro shop you might want to call ahead and see if they have a string/cable set in for your bow, and if not to order one for you to potentially save you a trip there.

More detail would be nice. Do you have pictures?

Your question sort of rolls like this:

I've got this 50's vintage car. Besides an engine tune-up, what does it need? If you're the guy behind the counter at Auto Zone, you're scratching your head.

Help us out with a little more information.
