I am debating selling this since I never shoot it. I have put maybe 100-150 rounds through it. I don't mess with guns very much, in fact this is the only "hunting" gun I own and I don't even hunt anything with it. I want to pick up a new gun for concealed carry. Just need an idea of what to ask for this if I do sell or trade this for a "new" hand gun. *edit* update with what I paid for the equipment. Savage .17HMR with Accu-Trigger, Laminate Thumb-hole stock with floating Stainless barrel. (paid $400) Nikon Pro-Staff 3x9x40. (paid $180) 3 stainless clips. (paid $40 for the extra 2) The "Claw" sling. (paid $20) Butler Creek neoprene scope cover. (paid $10) 200 rounds of Hornady. (paid $74)
I would start out around $350-$400. The basic model of that rifle retails new for $249. The scope retails for around $130. Together I would start high and you can always come down on price, maybe even go $450 with everything else you have with it. I don't know much about these. This is just what I got from a couple of quick searches. Hope this helps.
$450 is a good starting point Scott as the buyer will probably try to beat you up a bit on the price. T
The gun was $400 and I paid $180 for the scope at Cabelas. For some reason they charge $20 extra for the silver finish rather than black Thanks so far guys.
Buckeye, I'd ask $425 for it. I'd probably try and sell it over on www.predatormastersforums.com, you will get rid of it pretty quickly there. I used to have the same gun except with the synthetic stock on it, it was amazingly accurate. Still not sure why I sold the thing to be honest.
Ask and see Retail is what you pay... Wholesale is what others expect. Depending on your buyer expect 300 to 400
This is gun i would to have, but since im a poor highschool student with no job its kinda impossible.
do some searching on www.gunbroker.com you can get an idea of what same or similar setups are selling for I LOVE gunbroker - but I am a full on gun nut - I build AR's and AK's from kits and scratch. Going to do gunsmithing when I retire - basement invite only routine. Sean
I'll give ya $50:D Seriously, I'd ask $425-$450 to start out and then drop the price from there. You can always go to a pawn shop and see how much they'll give you, then add $100 to what they said and you'll be in the right range
Scott I cant give you a price to ask but Ill second Gunbroker to. I had a buddy sell my single shot Slug gun on there not long ago for me. got a good price for it.
