I've seen a couple silage trucks just go by the house from Smith's Farm... that can only mean one thing... they're cutting corn. A little old lady owns the land, I've knocked on her door once before... she wouldn't even open the storm door to talk to me... Can't blame her really. But she managed to tell me about the farm that rents it. SO, I ask them (this all tooked place 2yr ago) They said they just rent the corn they have no say over the hunting privileges. They thought maybe her son was the "head" man over the land, but had no idea how to contact him... I would love to hunt this land You can see where it joins what I already hunt, and when deer are bedded in there they have no choice but to come out in the two areas I marked in orange. I mean they can go anywhere, but there's no reason for them to. Should I just let it go? Go down and talk to the corn cutters again? go talk to the little old lady again? etc...?
Why lord no never would I ever dream of doing something so vile. I would try to see about getting permission from the son first.
Just a tip: If you do go talk to the little old lady again make sure it's in broad daylight and maybe even take your wife with you. with all the things she sees on the news everyday it most likely makes her REAL nervous when you went to the door. Anything to let her know your trustworthy Oh, but I'd do what Jeff said..........see who the corn cutters pay and talk to them
Im on it, I know who owns the farm, he's ederly too...lol. But maybe he can get me in touch with who I need.
Matt, you see the yellow line to the right of the red between 97A-2-19 and 97A-2-17? that's the line of travel your deer came from, we were way further south than what you can see on the map when you actually shot him.
