This buck has me puzzled. Ive had guesses from 132 up to 150. He's gotta be pushing 140 for me to shoot. I just can't decide if he's I those upper 130's or not. Let's hear the guesses...
A smart man once told me....if you have to figure out if he is big enough - he's not. My guess is under 140. Pictures to compare: 142" - 8pt 20" inside 146" - 10 pt
I hear ya. And I think my "instinct" will kick in when/If I see him from stand and decide for me. But just looking at pictures, he's a borderline buck for me. Some pictures I think he looks good, others I think he looks a little weak. Pictures can deceive easily though.
Hey what is that thing in your first two pictures in the background it looks like a silver rod with a camera on it, just wondering
It's a camera stake. I use them for field edges where there's no trees. I forgot my strap one day and used it back in the timber facing the direction the buck is pointed. It doesn't seem to affect them so I left it for the time being.
Mid 130s...dont let 3-4 inches make you lose sight of the fact that hunting is for fun. If you view this buck as big, shoot him and find out the score later. If not, then pass. Don't let a predetermined score deter you from shooting a buck you think is big.
129 Figured 10"g2,g3 4" brows 24" beams becuz there a tad bit longer than its nose 17" spread 4" circumference Still a great buck. It takes a lot of antler to get those 8's over 130"
To me he looks like a 3 1/2 year old that would score mid to high 130's with about a 17 1/2" spread. Nice deer for sure.
low to mid 130's is my guess based on the last velvet straight on pic. Do you have any other pics in hard horn we could look at?
