    My vote would be Boulevardier.
It is always hard the first night away from your first child. She won't regret it, especially if the little one is in good hands.

Our 25th is this fall. We will be going out but no reservations are needed at McDonalds. You just show up and they have the food done already. I don't even have to tip a waiter. It's great !! You should try it.

I'd go with the spoon bar.

There's a surprise! Germ choosing a place with "spoon" in the name". :)

It didn't have anything to do with them having a menu item called "The Naked Cowboy", did it?.

For the record, Hooker, I agree with Germ. :(

I've been on a fish kick lately so for my own tastes currently and looking at the menus I would probably go to either Spoon Bar or Oak

If you want to impress her, send her for an afternoon at a spa and tell her you'll take care of the baby. After she leaves have Gma and Gpa pick up the baby for the night. When she gets home, have a candle light dinner waiting on her. Follow up with a movie at a theater or at home with just the two of you. Worked with my wife until the kids were out of the house. For a lot of women it's not the expense of the evening, it's the thought you put behind it.

It was very interesting looking at all those menus. the Hooker family is definitely different from ours. I'm not able to make any recommendations, but I thought the one offering a bacon-cheeseburger and fries for $14 seemed a little pricey.

Good luck with convincing your wife to leave your child with the grandparents overnight. Our girls have never been away from home overnight. In fact we take them with us whenever we go out. Don't worry, they're very well behaved. If I had a dollar for every time someone has told me I'm too strict, I could buy my husband a 12 pack of Bud.

They all appear solid. Spoon's apps seemed a tad overengineered-highlight superfresh seafood instead of the accoutrements. Boulevardier seems to have more of a New Orleans-like menu though a fair number of suprises. FT and Oak appealed to my pallette...I think it was FT had a date on their menu and the 'seasonal' notation=this probably wont be the menu in a month. If you were taking me we would go to FT or OAK.

I think she will be fine with whatever you choose. Btw-happy anniversary and you have a cute daughter.

    yeah

Damn. With our parents not living in the same city, our daughter has spent the night elsewhere several times already in her short 10 weeks of life. But this time the grandparents will come to us to watch her for the night. And it will still be the first time we have left her with someone else for a night. The wife assures me she will be ok, she just might have to call every 30 minutes.

They have been with us up at the cabin. I guess I should have said they have never spent a night away from us. And Miriam is five now. There's no real reason for us to leave them anywhere. We take them with us anytime we go out for fun. And they know not to bother us when the bedroom door is closed.
