Hi, I can use payroll deduction to get a camcorder from the VA Canteen store where I work, but these are the only ones they offer. I plan on using my first camcorder for basic filming of our soon to be born child and while in the woods hunting. Are these any good? Canon® FS300 http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/camcorders/consumer_camcorders/fs300 JVC® Everio SD Memory Camcorder http://everio.jvc.com/lineup/gz-ms230/ Here is a side by side comparison. http://www.camcorders-only.com/compares/canon_fs300_vs_jvc_everio_gz-ms110
I'd go with the Canon, you can take stills (one less thing to bring in the woods). Plus I've always been a Canon guy.
How about: Samsung sc-Dx103 http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SC-DX103-DVD-Camcorder/dp/B0014GUBJO JVC GR-D850 http://www.amazon.com/JVC-GR-D850-MiniDV-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B0012825KC
Out of the ones you show, I'd take the Samsung. I have purchased many Samsung electronics and have never been disappointed.
I bought the JVC® Everio SD Memory Camcorder, after much thought. I'm happy with my purchase. Video quality is great and Lo-Lux will allow me to get good video in low light.
