So I've been watching a few of my hit list bucks this year and they are coming out of tree line indicated by the light blue arrows on the North side of the property. There is corn on the other side of the tree line. My question is whether they are most likely bedded in the tree line or actually in the corn. I'm having trouble figuring out my approach. The tree line is the property line and I can't access it from the backside. Any ideas? Green is beans Yellow is corn Red is property line Light blue is deer movement
Guess I don't have anything to lose if they are in the trees and not the corn. It's mostly an early season farm, I may or may not see these deer after the crops are gone.
I would set up just inside the treeline on the northwest corner of the bean field. Your best chance would probably be to approach from the south to get to your stand using the trees for cover. My guess is that they bed in the corn and are staging in the trees until just about sundown. Be in the stand before the come out of the corn or you will spook them while getting there. Unless you are seeing them in the morning then my advice is moot. I have a similar setup that I'm trying to plan for. Sent from my Classic using Tapatalk
