My year 7 old daughter liked the Karaoke set I bought her. I bought Hannah Montana and High School Musical compatible discs and she was off and singing! She also enjoys randomn things I pick up at stores. She seems to enjoy the small unexpected things I buy for her.

Maybe next year... We will see.
Unfortunately My dad wont be shooting for some time, since his shoulder surgery. But for a family (sister, bro-in-law, and my niece) that doesn't hunt. I think my niece is good to go.

When I went home for the funeral, we were talking about hunting, and my niece asked me if I had shot a deer. I said no. This was her exact quote. " Oh, ... I'm sorry."

I almost died. It really was priceless. She shows potential some times for that. But even if she doesn't want to hunt, I do plan on seeing if she wants to get into archery. I think it would be good for her. At least to have the chance...

Curious, is 7 too young to start with that? Can you shoot those smaller bows very far? She's built like a twig (Like me). So I know for the first little while, it would just be her playing around with it in the backyard (neighbors houses, will they be a problem?)...

    Maybe next year.

My son who just turned 4 has a little Bear bow, I think it is called a Brave, that he has had for a year and he loves it. He can't wait to get out in the backyard and shoot with me. I love it when he is out there with me. No better way to spend some time with the kids.
