New to bowhuting and need your help. I have an opportinity to buy a couple of 2008 bows. A Diamond Marquis Package Deal for $500 or a PSE Dream Season (bow only) for $650. Price and the package deal is not much of a factor, just want a good deer hunting bow. I will probably replace some of the accessories on the package deal anyway. The Diamond is about 10 fps slower according to actual tests done on YouTube with the same set-up, arrow, etc...so speed is almost the same; but, it was rated higher overall in the test. I am a deployed Soldier looking at buying a "post-deployment gift" for myself.

Please let me know your thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help!

I own a Marquis and my buddy owns a PSE Bow Madness (very similar to Dream Season) I've shot both side by side and without question my Marquis is quieter with MUCH less vibration. The Marquis has a very smooth draw cycle as well, where the PSE doesn't. The PSE is a wee bit faster, but not much. IMO I'd go w/the Diamond.

Another thing to think about. BowTech/Diamond has a program for both deployed overseas military, as well as stateside military in service that will present you with some pretty good discounts. You might be able to get a brand new bow for the same or less $$$. I'd encourage you to reach out to them to find out more, you can do that on the following link:

Thank you for your service!!! :D

I have spent time with the Marquis and have recommended it to two people near and dear to me, they have not been disappointed. It's a heck of a bow. Good luck in your search and thank you for your service.

Marquis is a NICE bow !!

I liked the Nitrous A LOT better(nearly the same bow) because it was much smoother on the draw and release. A lot more forgiving.

I would suggest taking a look at the Nitrous. I sold mine, and I regret it. I got the Nitrous to replace my General, and fell in-love with it. By far the best bow, all around, that I have ever owned.

Take a peak, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
