Well I want to go back to a resharpenable and COC head this year, something a little stronger than my slick tricks for elk. I have it narrowed down to these three heads.

I believe the Hellrazor will be the loudest in flight, the montecs i've heard have bad steel, and I haven't heard really anything bad on the Magnus's.

    So what is your opinions?

Only shot the HellRazors, like you said they are pretty loud in flight.

This year, I'm using the Simmon's Land Sharks as they are 100% CS and easy to keep a razor sharp edge on. I wanted a 2 blade BH #1 and I wanted them to be CS #2 and it was just a bonus that these are also Montana made.

These come razor sharp with an option to use the bleeder blades or not.

If your going the 3 blade route why not go a tad bigger then you are? Try out the regular Snuffer Instead of the SS. I've been using 125 grain 1 1/4 for 15+ years. They do whistle a tad for some people but haven't for me. Their very durable.

Schultzy, I have used the original snuffer before, great head! However, with the speed i'm getting from my new bow I think a smaller profile head would suit me better, as far as arrow flight is concerned. Original snuffer's and Wensel Woodsmans on my trad. arrows though

I used the montec's for a couple of years and they were definately loud in flight. I bought them when they first came out for a elk hunt I went on. I didn't think they were razor sharp either. I don't have any experience w/ the others so I can't comment on them. I do really like the reign head I'm currently using. I wouldn't think twice about using them on a bigger animal like a elk or moose.
