Hello everyone, Just introducing myself, I am new to archery and bowhunting so I'm here to learn. I am sure I will be doing more reading then posting. Decided to take up archery last march, I've enjoyed shooting and hunting though I was unsuccessful in getting a deer w/ my bow this past season. I am participating in a "bowhunter league" now and enjoying it very much but i'm hoping my scores go up. Well, that is all I can think to say at the moment :D
Welcome to the site from a fellow yooper! Lots of great info to be gathered here. btw...where abouts are ya from?
Welcome! From the U.P. also, but told by many if not born here you're not a yooper. Great site you chose!
Nice to see fellow yoopers :-) I'm in Ishpeming. Hey you can't choose where u are born...if u choose to live here that should be crazy enough to earn the yooper title if u ask me.
Im in Negaunee, used to shoot league at Straight Line but haven't the last few years. In the summer Marquette has a great outdoor shooting range called deer tracks, worth checking out if you're I'm Marquette often.
Seems like a friendly place so far....lots to read. Thanks for the warm welcome. Where is the range in Marquette? Like I said I'm new to the sport but I plan on shooting as much as I can this summer.
The range in Marquette is on Vandenboom road behind Pizza Hut. It was $35.00 last year, this gives you a key for use throughout the year, pretty sweet deal. Has a broadhead range, practice range, field and 3d course.
Thanks Art. Wow that sounds like a deal that can't be beat! I'll definitely have to check that out when the spring comes (meaning june probably).
