    Hi,
I hunted with cheap bows as a preteen and as a teen. I hunted rabbits and squirrels with a 25lb bow. I even made my own floo-floo arrows for hunting squirrels.

I'm now in my late 40's, and I have an OMP Adventure 30lb recurve bow, at my draw length(31") its 45lbs in my hands. I need to set it up for hunting, clean kills are very importantant to me. I want to use a whisker biscuit for an arrow rest and good old fashioned broadheads for arrows. I would like some advice on my choices please.

    Roy

Welcome Roy! Stick around you'll learn alot. There are many on here that are traditional shooters. I'd recommend any questions about shooting a recurve you have you send Schultzy's way. He's a recurve hunter and one heckuva guy.

I geuss I should also mention that I was in the boy scouts for 11 years, in the military for 15 years and a combat veteran of 3 conflicts. I've also taken 3 does with my winchester 30-30. Just so you know I'm not a complete greenhorn.
