Hello,

I'm new here but not new to bowhunting. I grew up with a bow in my hand as it is my fathers only real passion and we are of the traditional persuasion. I have been as lucky as one could get being able to follow my dad around the woods hunting elk, deer, antelope, bear and small game for over 40 years here in southwest Wyoming. Dad had an archery shop the first half of that until he retired. Things are changing my dad has not been able to hunt so much the last few years with failing health and we still get out a little but it is pretty limited to some blind hunting close by. I have had to adjust to losing my hunting partner for the most part and let me tell you it's been tough. Traditional archery was almost like a religion for my dad and I was a true follower. I have decided to make a change this year and bought a compound! I haven't been around them much since the late 70's and early 80's and that was just because dad sold them. My how things have changed! Anyway there are many things I need to learn about all this new equipment and I really like forums so here I am. I look forward to learning and sharing with everyone.

Chad Butler
