I don’t mind it. It’s easier to print tags out at home but you better print extra in case they get wet.
What do you mean? You do not know? Well well 1. You have to print your own tags on your own paper. 2. Life time like mine, came already printed...mind you 2"x2" on a sheet of typing paper. 3 we no longer wear back tags 4 they still insist you fill out each"tag" and wrap it in a plastic bag to attach to your deer 5 you are still be required to carry your tags on you in field to be filled out So how much money do you think they figure on recieving in fines over this. How many hunts do you figure will be screwed up with "checks" How many regular non hunters will be calling for "tagless" guys running around with guns and no back tag....because they have no idea about the change...God Bless and protect you public land guys
Oh how many "frightened " cops will be out with guys carrying their guns and not having a visible State issued tag on their back to show they are not a nut with a gun...as they reach for their typing paper. Listen I know other states do this just fine. It's just I know NYS, first few years may be a cluster.....
you can also use the app to show proof of a license to avoid having to carry a paper copy of it. There might be a problem on public but I dot think it will be that bad. I hunt public pa and have had zero issue not having a back tag.
You need to remember about the NYS DEC site...it's known to crash, carry your copy, you have to carry the tags anyways to fill out.
Just one more reminder guys then I'll let my NYS issues go Tresspass with a weapon is a first degree FELONY A weapon is anything from a gun, knife to a souvenir base ball bat given out at games ( believe me I know) Zip there goes your guns...
