Hey everyone, n00b here. A friend recently took me out to the range and introduced me to archery and I've got the bug. I don't stay in one location for too long (work) but excited to seize the opportunities I have travelling around. Looking forward to soaking up whatever good advise I can and making a few friends along the way.

I'm in northern California right now but work all over. Last year I spent most of my time in Washington and some in Nevada. Will maybe be out in Idaho in spring *fingers crossed*

What kind of a job do you have that takes you in all of those directions.
Idaho is a great state if you can get there.
Lots of great hunting in the southern part of the state if the wolves aren't there.

I'm an archaeologist. I map historic and prehistoric sites so they are not destroyed, or at least documented before they are and get called to construction sites if someone finds human bones or artifacts. When I'm not doing that I hire myself out as a surveyor/ mapper for all kinds of different things.

I would venture to guess you are an elk hunting guide? That would be the kind of hunt I have at the top of my list. I've got a long ways though. Need to learn to shoot, stalk, and lure first.

Was an elk hunting guide. Wolves destroyed the area that I guided in and never tried to get on with a different outfitter in a different state/area. Archaeologist. I've spent countless hours walking fields in search of artifacts. My dad has thousands of points/tools. The way that I look at it is hunting is hunting!
