I'm very new to hunting period. When I was a little kid I would shoot an old re-curve in my grandpa's backyard but never knew anyone that hunted therefore never did. Last year, at 30, I asked my father in law to take me out hunting and I caught the bug! I have yet to take a deer but have really enjoyed my time in the woods and look forward to the knowledge you all have to share.

With that said, while sitting in the stand on Sat night. There were two dogs that showed up and decided to play for a good hour and a half. The dogs never saw me and actually made me laugh a couple times. My question is, what would you do if a couple of goofy dogs showed up and started playing around your tree stand? I wasn't sure if they would stay longer if they knew I was there or not. So I just kept quiet and watched them play.

    Thanks!

    Josh

I also joined today and am orgionally from hastigs MI, I thought that was pretty neat.

I can't exactly give you a right answer to your questoin and if it were me i guess it would depend on how long they were there and if i thought they would scare deer away. However, one time my borther and i were hunitng over a field and the two dogs kept wondering around until my brother finially got down from his stand and walked them back to the owner's house. personally, i dont think i would want to get down from my stand unless i had to.

Thanks guys! I was annoyed with the dogs at first but being a dog owner myself, they started to make me laugh. If they show up again I may walk them out of there though.
